Rehearsals are in full swing for Black Swan State Theatre Company’s production of The White Divers of Broome.
This is the world premier of this epic work by acclaimed writer Hilary Bell.
Award winning director Kate Cherry leads the cast that includes Miyuki Lotz, Kylie Farmer, Yutaka Izumihara and Ian Toyne.
Kenneth Moraleda plays Bin Mahomet, and ageing Malay ex-diver turned tender facing a series events that challenges his norm. As White English divers threaten to replace Asiatic pearl diving crews and workers, Bin Mahomet is faced with a proposition that will test a new found unlikely friendship.
