Kenneth is currently the Resident Director at Sydney Theatre Company. He was Assistant Director to Kip Williams in Tommy Murphy’s adaptation of On The Beach and to Sarah Giles in The Importance of Being Earnest. For STC’s 2024 Season he will direct 2 world premiers: A Fool In Love by Van Badham and American Signs by Anchuli Felicia King. For kwento he directed Ate Lovia by Jordan Shea, The Marriage Agency by Saman Shad, and co-wrote and directed One Hour No Oil which gained him a nomination for Best Director In An Independent Production at the Sydney Theatre Awards. Kenneth has recently directed alongside Nicole Pingon a new contemporary Australian opera Chop Chef for Blush, which had a well received season at Riverside Theatres Parramatta and directed Eat Me: Blowback for Season 1 at NIDA 2022.
As part of the STC/CAAP Directing Initiative- he was Assistant Director to Kip Williams on Playing Beatie Bow by Kate Mulvany, and to Paige Rattray for How to Rule the World and The Deep Blue Sea at Sydney Theatre Company.
His directing debut was an immersive theatrical/cinematic/live music show They Say She’s Different. After a showing at Ding Dong Lounge in Melbourne, it was picked up by the Adelaide Cabaret Festival 2014 and was a highlight of the Melbourne Fringe Festival 2015 for a season at Gasworks receiving rave reviews.
He was a leading artist/producer in This Here. Land. – an experimental performance part of Liveworks Experimental Arts Festival for Performance Space, and with the same collaborators- Paschal Berry and Anino Shadowplay Collective has written and performed in Within and Without for Performance Space and Blacktown Arts Centre.
Kenneth is a founding member of kwento, a production company whose core aim is to produce and present engaging and diverse work whilst creating opportunities for artists across experience levels and disciplines.
